Introducing NA-Shinobi-S

The Atomos Shinobi

The Atomos Shinobi 4K HDMI and Shinobi SDI are exceptional monitors, featuring a bright 1000 nit 5.2" screen with 10 stops of dynamic range. The monitor includes a variety of exposure and focus assist tools to insure your footage is properly exposed with critical focus.

Exposure Tools

The Shinobi exposure guides include a Waveform for luminance, RGB Parade for color balance, and Vector Scope for hue and saturation. These tools, especially useful for the underwater filmmaker, allow accurate and fast judging of exposure, even in the most uncooperative lighting scenarios.

Focus Tools

Critical focus can be achieved using various peaking tools. Focus Peaking Color displays the original color image with the sharpest areas outlined in a selectable color. Focus Peaking Mono provides the same overlay but on a monochrome image. Focus Assist Outline shows only the false color outline on a black background of the sharpest areas.

The Nauticam NA-Shinobi-S Underwater Housing

The Nauticam NA-Shinobi-S follows suit with the strong foundation Nauticam has built around previous Atomos monitor/recorder housings.  The NA-Shinobi-S supports the Shinobi SDI monitor.

The Shinobi is easily mounted in the housing, dropping in without trays or other mounting accessories and is held in place by two rotating locking levers.

The NA-Shinobi supports up to the NP-F970 size battery which provides approximately 4 hours of run time. A CR-2032 battery powers the vacuum check and leak detection system. When used with the included Vacuum Valve, the system gives real-time feedback about the watertight integrity of the housing through an easily visible multi-color LED on the top of the housing.

Access to the touchscreen controls of the Shinobi are handled via a series of buttons and a selector knob beneath the screen of the housing.

An oversized rotary latch seals the housing, and securely locks in place without risk of accidental opening.  No control functions need to be preset or aligned when installing the monitor, it simply drops into the housing, locks in place with two latches and is ready to use.

A removable monitor shade, held securely in place with four small screws is included with the NA-Shinobi housing and provides better monitor visibility in bright conditions.

      April/May 2022 Delays:

Due to further Omicron outbreaks in Hong Kong, some products may be delayed. Not all brands or products will be affected by this. As some products are kept in stock as a matter of course, these should be fine.

      • Brands affected: Nauticam and Bigblue.

If you need things urgently please contact us and check ETA on the items you require.

How long will it take for my order to arrive after I make payment?

That depends on where you live and whether we have an item in stock or not. While we do have many items in stock, we don't carry everything. If you need an item in a hurry, it's a good idea to contact us and find out if your item is in stock.

If we have it in stock, we can usually send it out as soon as we receive payment, or you can pick it up. If an item is not in stock, we'll need to order it from our suppliers, which means it can take 1-2 weeks to arrive at your door (usually closer to a week).

Sometimes delivery can take longer, if our manufacturers are out of stock, for example, but this is unusual - we let customers know as soon as possible if something like this happens.

How do you ship my orders?

We use New Zealand Post and CourierPost to ship orders. Our default is courier, though you may organise an alternative with us by contacting us directly. CourierPost aims for next day delivery nationwide between major towns and cities in the North Island. South Island delivery can take two days. If you require next-day delivery in South Island, choose the express shipping option for the South Island. If you spend over $250 get your shipping for free!

When you buy something from us, the price is literally exactly what it says on the tin.

If you buy something from an overseas supplier, that is most definitely not the case. While the product might seem like a great deal on screen, it's important to understand customs and import costs.

In addition to the ticket price on an overseas purchase, whatever the exchange rate is on the day (this can fluctuate wildly - trust us, we know), there are also tariffs, GST and border processing fees. This can easily add upwards of 25% to the ticket price. Items costing over NZ$1000 also incur import entry transaction fees.

In addition to these extra costs, Customs clearance can also cause delays. Sea Tech has been importing for years - we've got this down to a fine art, and we've built relationships with customs that help our items clear quickly.

By buying from Sea Tech, you avoid all the headaches, delays and extra costs. We handle all this stuff for you, so you don't even have to think about it.

      Want to know more?

These Nauticam housings are non-returnable, non-refundable, non-cancellable, and may be subject to extended lead times as they are manufactured on demand. We always do our best to meet trip deadlines so please advise us if you have a trip coming up!
