The Nauticam NA-R1 Underwater Housing

Whether using high-quality glass and acrylic dome ports, the revolutionary WACP series, or the new FCP system, Nauticam optics ensure unparalleled image quality, no matter the subject or conditions.

Enhanced Viewfinders

The Canon R1’s 9.44M-dot EVF is elevated further with Nauticam’s Enhanced Viewfinders, which provide crystal-clear edge-to-edge viewing in both angled and straight designs, ensuring comfort and accuracy underwater.

Flash Triggering

For lighting, the NA-R1 supports external flash triggering via built-in fiber optic bulkheads, with optional manual or TTL flash triggers. Hardwired cable connections are also available using additional bulkheads for maximum flexibility when using strobes that don’t support fiber-optic triggering.

HDMI Output

The R1’s clean 6K HDMI output can be transmitted to external monitors or recorders through Nauticam’s HDMI 1.4 and 2.0 bulkheads and supported monitor housings, making it a complete solution for underwater professionals.

Vacuum Check and Leak Detection System

The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system comes standard with the NA-R1, ensuring unparalleled peace of mind for underwater photographers. When paired with an optional vacuum valve, this advanced monitoring system continuously updates the housing's watertight integrity and dive-ready status. A simple, color-coded LED display allows users to instantly verify if the vacuum is secure or detect if the housing is losing pressure. 

Integrated leak detection further enhances safety, providing both audible and visual alerts in the event of water intrusion. The system’s temperature compensation feature prevents false alarms caused by environmental temperature shifts or heat generated by the camera during intense shooting sessions. With this robust technology, divers can focus on capturing stunning images, confident that their equipment is protected.
