International Shipping

Yes, we ship to Australia! We use DHL Express, which should take 1-3 business days depending on your shipping address. Our checkout will automatically determine your shipping cost.

You can find more information about shipping on our FAQs page.

How long will it take for my order to arrive after I make payment?

That depends on where you live and whether we have an item in stock or not. While we do have many items in stock, we don't carry everything. (For example, we do not stock most housings or ports as there are just too many!) If you need an item in a hurry, it's a good idea to contact us and find out if your item is in stock, or if we can get it in a hurry - we often can!

If we have it in stock, we can usually send it out as soon as we receive payment (1-3 business days), or you can pick it up. If an item is not in stock, we'll need to order it from our suppliers, which means it can take 1-2 weeks to arrive at your door (usually closer to a week).

Sometimes delivery can take longer, if our manufacturers are out of stock, for example, but this is unusual - we let customers know as soon as possible if something like this happens.

How do you ship my NZ orders?

We use New Zealand Post Courier to ship orders. New Zealand Post aims for next-day delivery nationwide between major towns and cities in the North Island. South Island delivery can take two days. If you require next-day delivery in South Island, choose the express shipping option for the South Island. If you spend over $250 get your shipping for free!

When Size Matters

Ecko strobes were designed with the traveling underwater photographer in mind. The strobe size, power, and coverage makes it ideal for both compact point-and-shoot and mirrorless systems. Focus on close-up photography with a single Ecko, or balance your system out with dual strobes to take on anything you come across.

The Ecko is designed to be in your gear bag for many years to come. Each strobe comes with our full support team. We’re always ready to help you with images and share your successes.

Legendary TTL Integration

The Ecko Fiber integrates our latest iteration of RC TTL technology to respond immediately and accurately to changes in subject position and exposure conditions. When used with compatible cameras or TTL transmitters, the Ecko automatically adjusts its output to perfectly light the subject of your photo in both wide angle and macro settings.

TTL makes a huge difference when your subject is moving quickly. Most animals underwater move faster than a human’s reaction time - significantly faster than you can manually change the power settings on two strobes. TTL adjusts your strobe(s) power instantaneously and accurately as a subject approaches, retreats, or swims through the frame.

Using TTL flash exposure also unlocks access to hundreds of power settings - far more than on any strobe dial. The minimum TTL flash output is significantly lower than the minimum on the manual power dial, for fine tuned flash output in even the most delicate situations.

In addition to its many other benefits, TTL decreases flash recycle time, increases battery life, and reduces headaches when editing photos.

The Ecko Fiber is TTL compatible with our TT5 Canon TTL Transmitter as well as most OM System, Olympus, and Panasonic systems featuring an RC (Wireless) flash mode. TTL Transmitters are coming soon for Sony and Nikon camera systems.

TTL doesn’t relinquish control- it empowers it. Dial in plus/minus flash exposure compensation directly into the camera for instant adjustment of your Ecko strobe intensity. Flash exposure compensation allows you to maintain the benefits of TTL’s responsiveness while creatively adjusting the brightness of your flash in between photos.

TTL works in conjunction with your camera’s Manual (M) exposure mode- meaning you can still adjust aperture, shutter speed, and ISO while enjoying the tremendous advantages of TTL flash operation.

Universal Power Supply

We divers end up in some remote locations where anything can happen. The option to pick up a spare set of batteries off the shelf can be a life-saver if something unexpected comes up. AA batteries are easy to find in even the most obscure destinations and easy to get through airport security checkpoints.

When available we recommend high quality rechargeable Eneloop cells for the best performance from the first shot to the last.

The battery compartment is independently sealed from the strobe. The large o-ring is securely installed in the battery door and never needs to be removed or lubricated. Just make sure that the visible surface is clean of debris and go.

A Name to Trust

We design, produce, and dive with every product we make. Ikelite is fully vertically integrated with 100% control over the product lifecycle from inception to service. The Ecko was designed ground up by our team of in-house engineers and is manufactured at our single factory location in Indianapolis, USA.

Our staff is here to support you with everything from sales and service to phone support and photo advice. We're divers and underwater photographers, and we know what it means to travel across the world for once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunities.

We have the longest track record in the design and manufacture of professional strobe lighting for underwater use. We offer the only underwater strobes designed and manufactured in the USA and distributed worldwide to over 95 countries.

"Ikelite strobes have illuminated pictures in all my 38 books of the ocean and over 500 of my features in magazines. I have tried and tested many other brands, Ikelite is the finest in its class bar none."

Editor Ocean Geographic

I often need several strobes for my work in underwater caves. Ikelite has always offered a robust build, high power and reliability. That is very important to me in the field.

Jill Heinerth
Explorer & Professional Photographer

I have been shooting Ikelite strobes for over 40 years. 95% of my library of over 300,000 images have been shot with Ikelite strobes. The remaining 5% are available light. The clean wide angle of coverage of these strobes have been essential to my success with these images.

David Fleetham
Professional Photographer

I’ve spent months shooting underneath the Antarctic ice in the past 20 years, including filming for the BBC Life series. Ikelite strobes have been the only ones I found to be dependable enough for professional use in the harshest conditions on Earth.

Norbert Wu
Professional Photographer

In a trip to the Revillagigedo Archipelago, I was fortunate enough to witness hundreds of the ocean's top predators and nailed each shot time and time again. With quick recycle times and accurate TTL, the only time I touched my strobes was to adjust position and paint the light the way I wanted it in a scene.

The Ultimate Flexibility

Only Ikelite DS strobes are capable of powering external accessories through the electrical bulkhead.

This reduces maintenance and eliminates missed opportunities due to low batteries. It also opens up a whole world of creative potential. Thanks to the ICS-5 bulkhead, the Ecko is compatible with a wide variety of triggering options, including TTL converters for every major camera system, extension cords for unique strobe positioning, high sensitivity remote triggers, and a full range of fiber optic options.
