Constant Lumen Output (CLO) is a technology that maintains a consistent level of light output from an LED light source, even as the battery power gradually decreases over time.

CLO works by:

  • Limiting current: Limiting the current in the initial phase of the LED's life.
  • Gradually increasing amperage: Over time, the amperage is gradually increased to compensate for the decrease in light output.
  • Reducing over-illumination: CLO reduces the amount of light in the early stages of use.

CLO may help to:

  • Save energy: CLO can result in an average energy saving of around 5% over the lifetime of the LED.
  • Increase the LED's lifetime: CLO can help to extend the life of the LED module.
  • Improve maintenance intervals: CLO can lead to improved maintenance intervals.

Lights with CLO:

All Keldan lights.

The following X-Adventurer lights: M4500-WSRUA, M5000, M7000-WRGBU, M8000, M15000.
