Grip Base D4

The Inon Grip Base D4 is a tray with strobe arm function for compact digital camera housings. The Grip Base is machined aluminum for a lightweight body and securely attaches to compatible housings. When attaching Z-240, D-2000 or S-2000 strobe directly on the Grip Base D4, you can set up a compact and simple strobe system.

No looseness! No rattle!

The Grip Base D4 is equipped with newly-developed SPS (Slide Plate System) and directly attached on more than 100 different waterproof housings. The SPS provides loose-proof structure by to-and-fro adjustable main plate and two sub plates to hold the bottom part of compatible housing securely (Patent P). When using a close-up lens or wide conversion lens, the Grip Base D4 is attached on a Mount Base or Lens Adapter Base firmly with two M6 screws. The loose-proof Grip Base D4 supports you to focus on shooting without any extra work to retighten it during use.

Wireless strobe shooting!

It's easy to start external strobe shooting right away by simply attaching Inon Z-240 Type 4, D-2000 Type 4, S-2000 strobe on the Grip Base D4 thanks to their wireless connection capability. Inon strobes help you to capture underwater scenery vividly with their powerful output and substantial features.

Unlimited expandability!

The Grip Base D4 is compatible with wide variety of Inon arm systems to attach strobes or LED flashlight. Only requires additional "Shoe Base Adapter D4" and "Shoe Base" on a basic setting where a strobe is directly attached on the Grip Base D4 via "Z Joint", will add flexibility on lighting options. Combination of "Direct Base III" or "Multi Direct Base II Long" and Inon arms further enhances flexibility of strobe positioning to suit to size of a subject or distance from it. Optional "D Holder Extension Bar" enables a lens holder to carry an attachment lens not in use. Extra "D Holder" makes it easy to set up a multiple lighting system with dual strobes - one on each side.

How long will it take for my order to arrive after I make payment?

That depends on where you live and whether we have an item in stock or not. While we do have many items in stock, we don't carry everything. If you need an item in a hurry, it's a good idea to contact us and find out if your item is in stock.

If we have it in stock, we can usually send it out as soon as we receive payment, or you can pick it up. If an item is not in stock, we'll need to order it from our suppliers, which means it can take 1-2 weeks to arrive at your door (usually closer to a week).

Sometimes delivery can take longer, if our manufacturers are out of stock, for example, but this is unusual - we let customers know as soon as possible if something like this happens.

Update 18/12/2020: There are some production delays at present that may increase wait times on items like housings. We apologise for the inconvenience. If there are any delays with your order, we will communicate this immediately.

How do you ship my orders?

We use New Zealand Post and CourierPost to ship orders. Our default is courier, though you may organise an alternative with us by contacting us directly. CourierPost aims for next day delivery nationwide between major towns and cities in the North Island. South Island delivery can take two days. If you require next-day delivery in South Island, choose the express shipping option for the South Island. If you spend over $250 get your shipping for free!

When you buy something from us, the price is literally exactly what it says on the tin.

If you buy something from an overseas supplier, that is most definitely not the case. While the product might seem like a great deal on screen, it's important to understand customs and import costs.

In addition to the ticket price on an overseas purchase, whatever the exchange rate is on the day (this can fluctuate wildly - trust us, we know), there are also tariffs, GST and border processing fees. This can easily add upwards of 25% to the ticket price. Items costing over NZ$1000 also incur import entry transaction fees.

In addition to these extra costs, Customs clearance can also cause delays. Sea Tech has been importing for years - we've got this down to a fine art, and we've built relationships with customs that help our items clear quickly.

By buying from Sea Tech, you avoid all the headaches, delays and extra costs. We handle all this stuff for you, so you don't even have to think about it.
