FA-3 LED Strobe Trigger

FA-3 LED Strobe Trigger triggers underwater strobes and flashes to fire in sync with the camera using fiber optic cables.

Using the LED Strobe Trigger eliminates the need for the camera built-in flash to fire, thereby extending camera battery life and allowing for longer shooting sessions. Eliminating the camera built-in flash also keeps the camera from heating up, resulting with less condensation in humid conditions. The LED Strobe Trigger’s super quick recycle time allows for rapid shooting and triggering of the strobes without having to wait for the camera built-in flash to charge.

The FA-3 LED Strobe Trigger can be connected to any camera featuring a hot-shoe connection. It can be installed inside any camera housing offering a fiber optic slave strobe connection and sufficient space, anywhere inside the housing, for the main unit to be placed.

The FA-3 LED Strobe Trigger is also compatible with Fantasea's Mirrorless Housing models equipped with Fantasea's Hybrid Vacuum Safety System M16A

The FA-3 LED Strobe Trigger is capable of triggering most underwater strobes available in the market.

Note that when using the LED Strobe Trigger, strobe output is controlled manually only.

Important Notices

  • For best and most reliable performance, it is recommended to use the FA-3 LED Strobe Trigger with quality multi-core fiber optic cables available in the market.
  • The Sea&Sea YS-D2 strobe cannot be triggered with the FA-3 LED Strobe Trigger.

How long will it take for my order to arrive after I make payment?

That depends on where you live and whether we have an item in stock or not. While we do have many items in stock, we don't carry everything. If you need an item in a hurry, it's a good idea to contact us and find out if your item is in stock.

If we have it in stock, we can usually send it out as soon as we receive payment, or you can pick it up. If an item is not in stock, we'll need to order it from our suppliers, which means it can take 1-2 weeks to arrive at your door (usually closer to a week).

Sometimes delivery can take longer, if our manufacturers are out of stock, for example, but this is unusual - we let customers know as soon as possible if something like this happens.

Update 18/12/2020: There are some production delays at present that may increase wait times on items like housings. We apologise for the inconvenience. If there are any delays with your order, we will communicate this immediately.

How do you ship my orders?

We use New Zealand Post and CourierPost to ship orders. Our default is courier, though you may organise an alternative with us by contacting us directly. CourierPost aims for next day delivery nationwide between major towns and cities in the North Island. South Island delivery can take two days. If you require next-day delivery in South Island, choose the express shipping option for the South Island. If you spend over $250 get your shipping for free!

Covid-19

We hope you, your families and friends are safe and healthy during the current Covid-19 situation.

As you may know we are a small team at Sea Tech Ltd. Our team has zero close contact with people outside our bubble.

We wish to assure you, that when we begin fulfilling orders on 28 April, we will be following the government health guidelines surrounding safe operating procedures. Hygiene basics such as hand washing, coughing/sneezing protocols as well as the wearing of appropriate protective equipment such as face masks.

We are continuing to follow the regular updates to government health guidelines and initiatives regarding Covid-19.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you wish to discuss any aspect of our delivery service via Courier Post New Zealand.

We wish you all the best during these challenging times.

When you buy something from us, the price is literally exactly what it says on the tin.

If you buy something from an overseas supplier, that is most definitely not the case. While the product might seem like a great deal on screen, it's important to understand customs and import costs.

In addition to the ticket price on an overseas purchase, whatever the exchange rate is on the day (this can fluctuate wildly - trust us, we know), there are also tariffs, GST and border processing fees. This can easily add upwards of 25% to the ticket price. Items costing over NZ$1000 also incur import entry transaction fees.

In addition to these extra costs, Customs clearance can also cause delays. Sea Tech has been importing for years - we've got this down to a fine art, and we've built relationships with customs that help our items clear quickly.

By buying from Sea Tech, you avoid all the headaches, delays and extra costs. We handle all this stuff for you, so you don't even have to think about it.
